My opinion is that when you think about the lack of competitors, you also need to think about why that's the case.
Is it the technology barrier or whether the addressable market is not attractive enough for other companies to enter?
there are about 30,000 HIV-positive people living in Australia, it's a small population.
they won't do any HIV tests anymore, how many people would do an HIV test each year? I would say 99.9% of the general population won't even think about it.
Let's say 100,000 tests are done each year (which I don't think would be that many, but let's be generous), how many of those would be AT1 self-test?
even we assume AT1 can sell 100,000 self-test HIV kits each year, time that by $25, that's only 2.5m AUD in revenue...
