Chinese delays hit rapid test kit deliveriesAndrew TillettJan 10, 2022 – 5.00am Australian Financial Review
Suppliers of scarce rapid antigen test kits have been hit by delivery delays from China, hampering efforts to secure orders for state and federal governments as well as retailers. Medical industry sources told The Australian Financial Review there had been hold-ups by Chinese customs officials, although it was unclear whether this was tied to political tensions between Canberra and Beijing, or struggles to keep up with supplies more generally.
May well be another reason. How is China going to control Omnicron once it gets out. And are they keeping their powder dry for the Chinese New Year Holiday? Things are really serious in Xi’an, and most of it is Delta. Omnicron is many more times infectious.
Hope Atomo’s agreement to source their 10 mill is water tight.
