For heavy vehicle fleets, ammonia (a hydrogen derivative) makes more sense than straight hydrogen or EVs.
There's already trucks in other markets running on Ammonia too and dedicated infrastructure being setup to support it. It's how many of the big mining companies are transitioning their heavy vehicles.

In trucking time is critical, you need your assets moving. Dense liquid fuels allow you to have short stops before continuing to move. Even with a supercharger a tesla takes 20-30mins to charge, and that's for a sedan with a 500km range. Make it a B double with a 1500km range and you'll be charging literally all day. This isn't something anyone who drives a truck wants to do. If it isn't ammonia, they'll move to a zero carbon bio diesel, much like what the airline industry is doing.

EVs really only make sense for city dwelling consumers.
