I think the point really is that the IP is real, and there is real R&D spend to develop this type of solution. Presumably there will be incremental learning over time and hopefully the CTO is as capable as his CV suggests he is. Have a look at the background of both the CTO and CEO to understand the guys running this operation. Not clear that it will succeed just yet but it has every opportunity to and the option is cheap.
