You raise some interesting points.

I suspect that the reason for Claassen making the presentation is both clever and strategic.

Claassen is probably one of the most respected professors of neurology in the world.

He will not be seen as a ‘company man’ pushing a product (so arm’s length). He is a world expert, explaining a study in which he had critical input. A very, very successful study. Ground breaking.

With Claassen doing the presentation, the presentation will gain further weight and, to some degree credibility. Stamler is an outstanding researcher, but his profile in the neurology world is nowhere near that of Claassen.

This presentation should now draw its maximum audience and I would dearly love to be there, and to hear the questions from the floor.

A very, very smart move. I have seen it done in other ‘similar’ situations, in conferences around the world.

All my opinion, as always.
