Westpac is able to utilise the DRS statement from Canadian registry but one small risk is that the US company that they use to do this can refuse if the stock is trading under US$2. The person I spoke to at Westpac did say that they did not know exactly what criteria needed to be met as they have had stocks trading at 20c get transferred across.
