Atheism is simply the non belief in god or gods. Ethics is a red herring but since we’re on the subject, we certainly don’t get our ethics from the bible.

Where ever morality comes from it isn’t the bible. We lock up people who do those things but they were condoned and even required by god.

Again atheism is only the non belief in god or gods. The atrocities of the 20th century would not look out of place in the blood thirsty old testament. I think the old testament god of fire and brimstone would have approved. It looks more consistent with the bible world view.
