how do you know for sure that anything is absolute?

from one viewpoint morality (however you see it) may appear to have a degree of relativity, but that does not mean that it is not worth abiding in.

and how do you know that morality (correctly defined) is not an absolute?

if we and really want to know ,we will come know what is right and wrong by experience.
there are some very clear examples in day to day mundane life, where right and wrong become quite evident depending on the situation.
(how can we comprehend subtle things if we are incapable of righty dealing with coarse things)
so in that respect they may be relative.
but do stop to consider that they may be absolutes with a degree of relativity.

why would someone follow the path of morality if there is no belief in an almighty god?
the answer to that is elementary, dear watson.
anyway, see what happens to yourself when you don't.

one reason why people are attracted patriarchal religions is because they are lazy (in what respect would they be lazy?)

the sinners prayer is quite deceptive and manipulative, to the newcommer, it contains an element of goodness alongside a dangerous lie.

it could be said that there is two types of people
made of clay and ice
the sun melts the ice and hardens the clay
the sun is lifes' experiences.

it's got nothing to do with a belief in some dude craving worship.

when you pray,
you are indirectly praying to your subconscious as well as an entity of some form or another.
i hope your heart (and subsequent actions) win out this time round.
