The main problem with religion is that it pays scant attention to the 'here and now' (with apologies to Mother Therese) and too much stress on the hereafter eg the promise of 72 virgins when you depart this life in the Muslim world (can anyone really cope with that many virgins anyhow) and the joys of heaven and the damnation of hell in the Christian world.
