Honesty and compassion are good values anywhere. They are not unique to Christianity.
further, they pre-date Christianity and came to their perfection of definition, fruition & priority in atheistic religions, such as Buddhism & Taoism
this is why Christianity, with its Judaic baggage, is so full of contradictions & struggles to make logical sense
the Judaic god is similar to other ancient gods, where ancient peoples competed to have the superior god, similar to primitive Islamists in the current world shouting like monkeys: "Allah U Acbar"
