    well mamy atheist are not real atheist then. a true atheist see no point in life because everything is random. you live because you live, you die just because, so there's no need to help one another.

    I'm an atheist and don't fit your description at all.
    I am not alone.
    Many of us believe that to the best of the evidence available to us suggests that this life is all that we have,
    We should, therefore, do what we can to be fulfilled as human beings and (this is critical) to do what we can to the best of our abilities to ensure that others can do the same while protecting the environment for future generations. We don't do this for some future life reward - we believe that there probably isn't one.

    Yes, I have read some of what Attenborough wrote and from what I can tell it was to address the fact that sending food parcels is not a longterm viable solution. The ever growing populations is the problem that needs a solution.
    Short term people need to be fed.
    Long term the ever expanding population needs to be addressed.
    I would have thought that most would agree with this,
