they usually just push down to trigger the stop loss so they can get those shares. The lower they push down the higher chance they will lose their shares because low price attracts buyers. Also every sell has a buy. Someone must be big to buy today’s 37m shares. Retail investors can’t take them all. My understanding is that this type of market action usually happens when major news is coming and the big players already have the control.
