xhosa1, the ASX is effectively in a bear market. If you took away the DOW rising, most would be selling into it - hard.

If the DOW breaks, I don't want to be holding a full portfolio.

The markets (DOW) has taken all the bad overseas and world news very well, but it certainly hasn't taken off either. There's also that rising wedge the DOW just broke out of which I suspect might be a bit of a bear trap. I mean, how long can it continue up when the fundamentals of the world are falling apart? It's also near that previous high from the GFC which should stop it dead in it's tracks..

Don't mean to be all doom and gloom but I've noticed quite a few on HC pulling the pin lately.
