Plutonic was made up of a number of different deposits and the similarity to Atlantic Gold is in the way they put their projects together.

Currently all companies are having problems raising funding so Atlantic Gold is hardly unique in having problems raising funding at the moment.

Atlantic Gold is a regional play and its strategy will be to acquire projects to add value to and use their exploration expertise to find the gold which is just sitting their waiting to be found but does require the appropriate nouse to decide the best way to develop each property.

Atlantic Gold has expertise that no other gold company in Nova Scotia has so they will be the best positioned company to develop the Nova Scotia goldfields but for the moment everything is on hold due to the current financial crisis.

With the gold price at C$1020 the profitability of the Touquoy Project is not in question and is over C$100 higher than when ATV last released data on the feasability of the Touquoy Project and many of the inputs have gone down in cost so everything still stacks up very well financially.

The gold price is looking like it could explode higher in 2009 and assuming gold is worth well over US$1000 oz next year the funding to develop projects like Touquoy will appear like magic when the time is right.

There is a huge amount of money just sitting on the sidelines waiting for a place to be invested and Gold stocks will be a major beneficiary when sentiment changes and gold blasts through US$1000.

The quality of the Touquoy project is not in question but until the financial climate becomes more favourable all companies will have difficulty raising finance to develop projects.
