For those interested, while there are hundreds of factors that could potentially be impacting the global climate system, of which CO2 plays a minor role as an driver of change, I am becoming increasingly convinved that the Atlantic Multi Decadal Oscillation is one of the key factor driving change in temperature.
Of course correlation does not imply causation, but the graphic below is nonetheless very interesting.

I also note the the Atlantic Multi Decadal Oscillation Index has recently turned negative after being positive for the most of the last 30 years or so. If it stays negativem my be is we are in for an extended spell of global cooling.
Anyhow I am interested in any insights posters have on the AMDO
