FMG have just recently annouced a huge ramp up in Capital spend which concentrates on developing their own resources..... they already have massive reserves.
The only reason I could see them getting involved is through fear of AGO's rapid growth path. Otherwise it's not a good use of their money.... they don't need more ore.
I think your option A) is always lurking though....
