sorry, my point is: you get higher transaction volumes in locations with peak foot traffic. unfortunately, they are also the locations with more atm competition, therefore less likely to pay a "convenience fee". why would you when you can simply use your bank's atm?
the banks dont want to be everywhere. only places they are expected to be. major thoroughfares like high streets and shopping malls. thats about it.
so cus might get lower transaction volumes per atm, but when it comes in, they will be getting far more of the direct charging pie than their peers because of their locations.
