    thanks for that.
    its pretty clear from that what is most likely to occur.
    banks will take the opportunity outlined in that document to claw back as much lost revenue as possible from the change to direct chargin. however, it will be published by the RBA so this will essentially push whatever agreement was in place to an insdustry standard rate that will soon enough resemble the cost of the transaction to the bank plus a margin acceptable to all. if a bank charges more than its peers, then the rba will hold them to account and the bank will have to justify their pricing assumptions. this transparency is good for CUS.

    dont get me wrong. i am bullish on CUS. i just reckon its not as simple as "doubling revenue". the banks will want some cash for providing their customer base to the atm operators.
