Actually the old circuit's recovery is even worse than that mathematically.

If the new hammer mill etc as the second-run-through produced 26.64 g/t at say 92% recovery, then the hammer mill started with material at about 29 g/t [28.96 g/t on the calculator].

The older circuit on the first-run-through extracted 2 g/t, so it started with material at about 31 g/t.

So the older circuit's recovery rate on this 100 tonne was approx 2/31 = 6.5% approx.

As they used to say on the TV ads:
