Its only fair then that they shouldn't tax capital gains either if the shares are quickly repurchased.
What a ridiculous waste of money is the ATO - all these stupid rules based on guessing what your intent might be. Why don't we do away with the silly rules and exceptions and make up for the loss of revenue by slashing the ATOs budget?
