There has been nothing on the ATP website about the pearls for sale at Bali on Monday, so this represents a change of policy - only registered traders have access to this information. I imagine this will now be standard practice too for auction results. So investors won’t get to see anything about auctions outside ATP trading releases. I hope it will become standard practice for ATP to announce a trading halt prior to releasing auction results to traders, otherwise traders have access to non-publicly available, market sensitive data. Next week we’ll find out what the company’s policy is wrt auction results. Of course, private Pearl farmers have none of these concerns. All this is happening just when we receive our dividend payments too!
