That’s a fair point, but surely the market has very little clue what revenue the auction will raise - so the results are highly market sensitive, accounting for a substantial proportion of annual revenues. Moreover, if the results are known (even approximately) by pearl buyers then a trading halt should be mandatory to avoid insider trading. If there is no trading halt and there is substantial share price volatility, I will make a complaint!
