And the company mentioned in the attached is not the only one in Myanmar making an effort to make white pearls. I also know that the biggest local producer by quantity in Indonesia has been moving to make more white pearls instead of the usual yellow/gold/cream pearls native to the region. Also, Chinese freshwater pearl producers are improving their techniques for producing nucleated freshwater pearls, and it is only a matter of time when that starts hitting the market in larger quantities of similar qualities to South Sea pearls.
