Thanks for the info. From the Island myself and not familiar with that neck of the woods at all, other than the best fishing day I ever have had and some good times in Prince Rupert.
Their original plan was to punch a road west and connect to 37 and onwards to Stewart. Now it seems that they want to punch a road east (southeast?), truck it to the Minaret railhead, rail down to Ridley terminal in Prince Rupert, off load onto trucks and haul back up north to Stewart (11 hour round trip + load/unload time per truck).
Any idea why someone would choose, what seems to be a significantly longer southern/northern route over punching a road west to 37?
