OK I am back to clear this up.

I started from scratch, and sorry to say, we are back to square one with all this, and I have received different answers from different people each time. This last gentleman I feel seems to have given me the correct information.

Commsec International did a migration in September and now changing to an interactive broker.

As a result, broker to broker transfers are currently not available for at least a couple more weeks, aiming for early January.

Transfers direct from a share registry overseas to commsec are not available at all, however this potential is being looked at and worked on. If it happens it could be 6 months away give or take.

In conclusion, as it now stands, to receive US listed shares to commsec is going to need an international broker or one who can directly receive them from a US share registry, and then a broker to broker transfer to get them across. It will be the same with converting CDI's.
