    To be absolutely correct, most oil finds have been in the Eromanga basin (Jurassic and later), which overlays the Triassic(?) / Permian Cooper basin.

    The Cooper basin is relatively small compared to the Eromanga basin, which covers a huge area. Not sure how it relates to the basins Ian referred to?
