Two friends have over $1m in Opes. Of that $800,000 is cash the other $200,000 shares all paid up.
They left the cash there so they could get back in quickly when they thought things had settled.
Each thought the arrangement was, the cash sat with ANZ Custodians and thus safe. It must be said ANZ were happy to allow this misconception to continue while they sat back and got their earn.
The bank has been appalling well before the events of last week.
