at these prices thats not the issue imo. you have aussie producers doing 1/3rd to half the ounces valued at 70-80% of the market cap.
thats about currency related gold earnings margin - a little bit of discount for location - and fotm for local goldies.
west africa will have its time again - when usd gold rises.
