The following links to a report prepared by a greenie group is starting to make mainstream press coverage. If I have it right after skimming thru the report, in summary:
- Jemena is an evil Asian government company who should never have been awarded the NEGI.
- The NGP will be a complete loss making exercise, an absolute white elephant. Despite knowing this, Jemena, who are extremely profitable, are still going ahead
- While losing money, they will also have a monopoly and charge whatever tariffs they like
- NT gas will never be able to be sold at a competitive price
- LNG plants built are now in a glut, and should never have been built
- Gas demand will shrink going forward globally as renewables take over
- The sky is falling, run for your lives!
