What an excellent find ... thanks.

You come up with some beauties at times!

This whole population/growth model has been concerning me for some time. I am convinced western populations will have to compromise and move to simpler (lower consumtion) lives in order to accomodate currently emerging economies and populations.

Its a big ask as nobody want to "go backwards". A chnge of mindset is required.

What a dilemma ... we can't morally deny emerging economies and populations the right to industrialise and improve their existances ... there simply are not enough of many current essential resources to go around ... I have reasonable grounds (imo) for predicting that just to accomodate Chiinese growth and improved lifestyles the world could be consuming more than 9 times its current oil output within 50 years ... does that sound even remotely deliverable?

Imo, if there isn't compromise or some wondrous new technological advances in renewable energies there will be resosurce based wars of a disturbing scale within the next 50 years.

    Thanks again for the link.

    Regards
    Dex
