Agreed, so simply cutting population isn't necessarily the answer.

I do think that each of us being happier with less is worth thinking about though.

But exactly how things work socially and economically by having a growing population (for jobs availability) and declining per capita consumption (loss of jobs) is doing my head in 8)).
