wouldnt the pines govt be required to approve field development. That approval would come off the back of plans submitted by nido. Plans and approvals all sound like it will take time. Could be a long while before we see production.

However, talking about appraisal wells, it s probably reasonable to expect these will happen in relatively quick succession (3-6 months). looks like a reasonable assumption to me considering exxons successive appraisal wells in the south sulu. Have they drilled 4 wells now on their rumoured 800 million bbl prospect?

Once bitten twice shy. I am sitting out on this one. If coron north couldn't come up a winner, what are the chances nlf is going to be nearby, and in sufficient quantities to justify production. That's my bet.

I am keeping an eye on nido for their untested and prospective outboard licences 53 68.
