I've never traded CFD's myself, but I see them as a derivative, rather than the underlying instrument ie. shares.
As I understand it, when you trade CFD's you are betting on a share price movement without actually owning the shares themselves, hence the need for CFD providers like CMC Markets.
Am I wrong?
