HotCopper has received a legal threat from MSP's lawyers in regards to posts made in this forum, as well as some members receiving direct emailed demands from MSP (management, or ex management or major holders) to remove posts, many of which appear completely innocuous.
We have already moderated a number of these posts on a no admissions basis to avoid a prolonged dispute, but in the interests of freedom of speech have kept the discussion threads open.
HotCopper is completely in favour of balanced debate, including negatives if necessary. (We will not tolerate you using real, or guessed real names though, as had been happening, as anonymity is important to uphold for the future)
Can you please ensure you do not jeopardise this right by posting statements which may be construed as defamatory. It is imperative you understand how to word a post correctly within the law. We don't want any of our members to be pinged for defamation. It is a very expensive exercise to defend oneself in court. If any of you who have had a posting restriction placed on you believe you can post within guidelines, please click 'report' on a post and ask the moderators to remove the restriction. They can convey the report to me for removing that restriction for you.
