    strip ratio is higher because they used a higher cut-off grade of 0.6g/t inlieu of 0.4g/t au.

    the strip ratio without any context doesn't mean anything.

    it's the option that generates the higher/better financial metrics that counts.

    Some deposits, it's better to use a lower cut-off grade because the grade profile at a higher cutoff grade won't improve IRR/NPV that much & others different.

    Matt Greentree, advised that economic cut-off is around 0.4 g/t au but what generated the best financial outcomes was to increased the cut-off grade at 0.6g/t au, mine the highergrade zones.

    If you look at their mineral resource table the resource at the lower cutoff grade is 2.73Moz. which is approximately a 35% uplift from the 2Moz.
