I loudly disagree that "those in the industry take not notice of auction results" ... let just say those in the in industry they do not take notice as they know it is BS... but let's say it is widely used metrics and used for a good purpose to "promote" buy now or you miss out story ..
next time you hear papers or RBA or corelogic write about Auction clearance rate.. then you know why and for what purpose they do it..
at least I hope you can agree that data needs to be accurate... lets just not water down the topic here which is accuracy of Auction clearance data
