It could be for reducing debit as most of the debit is in the USA but most of the assets are there too. However their is still about 5 Billion I think in debit owing in Australia for CNP and something like 19 Bil in assets in the US so It most likely help. If they sell US assets to pay down AU debit it will really be good for us. However atm its hard to sell US centres so its kinda catch 22
