The point is about herd behaviour. The shoal of fish Dory and Marlin ask for directions from move in a coordinated manner together with little intelligent thought, on sentiment. That is exactly how the currency market is. There was a time when overseas markets fell, the Australian dollar would fall but that correlation has well and truly been broken.
