Even though our share price isn't behaving itself, the dollar is shoring up our future, now down to 0.8935.
Given the 3-month LME tin price closed at US$22,500, it's now worth $25,181.
But even better is the copper price (knowing that we will be relying on this for our first taste of income). At a close of US$7226, that makes it $8087 in Aussie dollars.
Even iron ore at US$137.90 is over $154 in Aussie dollars.
And...
Stevens wants $A close to US85c
Reserve Bank of Australia governor Glenn Stevens has indicated he wants an Aussie dollar closer to 85 US cents, while pointing to "promising signs" that the economy is transitioning away from the mining boom.
Enjoy.
