Good points. The one factor that might put a cap on gold price is what the central banks will do with their gold holdings. If the high prices can lead them to start diluting their reserves, pog rise may be tempered. If gold price increases dramtically, the disinvestment may be more likely. It is the supply situation that is unknown.
