Gassin, if your posts are anything to go by, you're panicking a bit and missed my point.
I was trying to say that when mining goes south, the only economic ace up our sleeve in degrading our currency. We have had ample opportunity in Australia to develop other industries but haven't. The devaluation of our currency is a great big sign telling all in the world that after all this time we still have nothing else to offer except what we dig up out of the ground, and we're going to sell it to you cheap. That is what is sad and embarrassing...
