The surprise is that now another Australian oil producer has come along with an offer. This is a greate chance to get a toehold on the US oil fields with gas potential. It would appear the market does not believe the TO will go ahead.
Perhaps this company might do what it should have done in the first place. That is, just produce oil without all the wild-catting crap - the shareholders have had to pay a big price for poor management and big egos.
