Actually Cheech,
I suspect that the rogue NAB trader(s) were buying $USD not selling, which would have a negative impact on the $AUD. The must have been short $AUD.
If they were selling USD and buying AUD, we wouldn't have heard about it. (Unless the article read,"Rogue trader causes NAB unexpected profit of $180 Million").
I think the 80c is looking less certain, but I wouldn't be expecting a significant fall until the US put comething under their ccy.
