    Absolutely cerhob.

    In fact, the main reason for the rise of the $AU is the fall of the $USD, this has also been positive to the Euro, Swiss Frank and other currencies that cross trade with the $US. There is little or no manipulation of the $AU at this stage.

    If you want to talk manipulation, the $US is the one being heavily manipulated lately, and it's being manipulated UP, not DOWN! The central bank of Japan has on four occasions in a little over a week sold heavily on Yen, forcing the $US back up at least a full point each time.

    Time may well see the reserve bank do similar with our dollar, but it won't be to push it up, rather the other way around.

    Obviously the Jap's are worried about their export market too.
