Yes I observe the same about spec stock traders - the obsession with baggers if not multi-baggers is something I don't subscribe to, I just don't like the feast & famine dietary regime.
As to adrenaline, I'm definitely not in FX for that. The name of the game imo is to develop and trade a trading strategy that as much as possible minimises adrenaline - my target is 1% per day which doesnt sound like much but I let compounding do the heavy lifting to build that into multi-bags over the course of time. As you say, longevity is the name of the game if you can survive long enough to learn most of the lessons that need to be learnt then you should do ok.
