mining sector in Malawi is its in infancy. However the country/gov now understands importance of the mining sector and value it can bring in bringing investment / helping develop the country. Gov wants more mining investment. LIN is well connected into local gov and community.
the gov will take a 10% stake here once it progresses from a medium size mining op to a large scale op so in their interest to progress the project asap. Also LIN already has a mining and environmental licence / is fully permitted. So what extra approvals are you referring? Lindian is most progressed out of upcoming REE producers and will be the next REE producer
RIO has recently taken a stake in a Malawi based project as well
