i really doubt this. if a major really wanted in, they would just start buying up the stock which hasn't happened yet. i think its just hot money and traders as Warrick suggests with no major catalysts expected in the short term. This means we will any nice announcement will be an upside surprise and should give a nice kick.
LIN have been too good with their transparency with the market and keeping the market well informed of upcoming announcements which has hurt the stock price imo
