Thanks for the comments. I've been using yellow for so long now I'm not sure I can change, but I do get bored with the same colour sometimes so maybe I'll try.

The problem with the lines over the current price and a recognition that sometimes it is better to step back and look at things afresh has led me to set up a quick way of bringing up a clean chart - nothing but price, volume and the stochastic. I can now do it with one click and it is very useful.
