Ever lived in real poverty or even seen any? ...".
As a baby-boomer born into a family of eight kids and in humble circumstances at a time when the World was just coming to terms with post-WW2 recovery in a country welcoming millions of people fleeing war-torn Europe / Middle East I've a fair bit of firsthand experience of real poverty.
I've also been fortunate enough to have travelled through countries including Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Guatemala, Mexico, Greece, Italy, China, Russia, Indonesia, Thailand, Egypt, Morocco and many others ... witnessing and experiencing firsthand governments of many different persuasions.
I don't share your xenophobia and nor do I share your faith in warmongering.
As for your belief that there's no 'real poverty' in Australia, well by definition 'poverty' is a relative thing and there's no doubt that Australia has degenerated into a land of 'haves' and 'have nots'. Fortunately we still have universal health care, a social welfare system and relatively free public schools.
