@moondoong; only very sick people would compare a humanitarian program which delivers in spades for vulnerable people such as the NDIS with wasting taxpayers' money on nuclear powered submarines.

As for those costings - well yet another reality today on that front today as well:

. Nine navy boats which were to cost $30 Billion have morphed into just six boats costing $45 Billion - with NO guarantee that's the end of warmongers scamming Australian taxpayers [from $3.5 Billion per boat to $7.5 Billion per boat - woweee!]
. Based on the normal cost blowouts, poor choices and sheer waste of defence force purchases the AUKUS deal will shrink to seven boats while the costs will rocket from $365 Billion to almost $Trillion.

SO what's Malcolm Turnbull's assessment ... Australians have been mugged by the AUKUS deal! It appears that we've already handed over $5 Billion to the USA with no indication that it'll be returned if former POTUS Trump returns as US President and cancels AUKUS. Indeed, there are even reports that the USA is actually curtailing submarine production regardless as to the resurrection of Trump [ie. it has no intention of honouring AUKUS deal].
